Why do women wait till they get on the bus before fumbling around in there handbag for change?
Hmmm, such a man question.
Ladies, clearly this requires further debate. The person that asked this question is obviously frustrated at either having to wait behind such people or is subject to being on the bus at the time and therefore the bus is delayed by such acts.
So i have to throw it out there, is it really such a problem?
From my experience here in Perth, we have e-tags which mean people don’t need change. This is fantastic quite frankly because for me there is nothing worse than an angry bus driver who is telling you off when giving him a $20.00 note. In addition i actually hate carrying change or money for that matter and never want to be one of those people fumbling for change whilst holding everyone up on a busy morning.
But does this really extend to buses? I find it really annoying to stand behind people fumbling for change in the following situations:
- The pay station at a car park
- Fast food outlets
- Vending machines
- Ferries & Trains
But is the issue really about women and their issues with change lurking around their handbags, compared to men who hold their change in their overly deep pockets (this is a whole separate topic of discussion). Or is the issue really “change” itself?
Maybe if we just had one card for everything no-one would ever need to carry “change” again and we could end the debate?
But would anyone miss the chinking sound of coins?
If we never had change how would i scratch my scratchies?
