{ Accessory Porn } BAG LUST: Taryn Zhang New York

One of my E-Friends, Sunny, created a handbag label called Taryn Zhang New York, which would be a line of stylish handbags for the corporate, professional woman who wanted some flare on her arm while yet still staying within conservative guidelines usually stipulated by Corporate Office dress codes. The result of Sunny’s creativity is a line of functional, capacious yet surprisingly refreshing and fierce handbags, satchels and briefcases that work in the boardroom and office hallways as much as they would on 5th Avenue sidewalks.

TZ describes the perfect muse for the collection:
…the busy executive, the worldly pioneer, the intellectual, or the fearless commander, Taryn Zhang offers a perfect balance of feminism and femininity, strength and elegance, luxury and social consciousness. The Taryn Zhang brand is an expression of the woman with an eye for style but a mind intensely focused on the substance of her life and the achievement of her goals.
The Alpha Collection, which launches this fall, is as it is named, TZ’s first collection. Made out of luxurious micro fiber vegan leather, these bags are eco-conscious and ethical as much as they are fierce and office-appropriate. All of the bags are designed with the independent, driven, creative, brilliant woman in mind.

My FAVOURITE:
{ Executive Satchel}

Taryn Zhang is the brainchild of New York based Corporate Attorney Sunny Woan, whose love of fashion translated into a passion for creating for women like her: the fiercely independent, powerful, socially aware and active, bold professional. In addition to her love of fashion, she enjoys writing, literature and food. In 2007, she founded an Asian American literary Journal called Kartika Review, for which she is currently Managing Editor. Her creative and law works have been published in esteemed publications such as Fifth Wednesday Journal, SoMa Literary Review, Houston Literary Review, The Washington, and Temple Journal of Science, Technology, and Environmental Law–just to name a few.
Pre-orders on Taryn Zhang can be done HERE. Bags retail from $168USD to $208USD and come in a range of colours for each piece.
I pre-ordered the Executive Satchel in Stone Taupe, but I would buy it in Black and Red if I could afford it.
For more info, visit the Taryn Zhang Website, and peep the Look Book.
